CAGAYAN DE ORO — Team Jao Gumapac has rolled out plans and programs that will benefit all members of the Cagayan de Oro Press Club (COPC).
COPC will hold its regular election of officers on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.
Jao Gumapac leads a team of dynamic members running for board of directors to serve for one term for CY 2025-26.
Gumapac runs under the Dream Team slate that includes Ronald Rufin, Ben Balce, Joe Felicilda, Alfredo Soriano, Ruffy Magbanua, Cris Diaz, Roger Satur, Rose Mondejar, Martin Rapanot, Ric Ociones, Ritchie Salloman, and Jigger Jerusalem. Magbanua and Salloman are former COPC presidents.
Team Gumapac will work for positive change focusing on improving the lives of COPC members with the following plans and programs as its platform of good governance:
1. Housing projects for COPC members
2. Launch COPC TV
3. Health services for all members to access quality medical care and Insurance Program
4. Livelihood program for the families of COPC Members
For the housing program, Gumapac, who is the current Barangay chairman of Baikingon, a rural barangay of Cagayan de Oro, has offered an area of 2.8 hectares for the development of COPC Media Village.
“The COPC Media Village is our flagship program dedicated to provide comfortable space for all press club members,” Gumapac said.
“Together we can achieve these grand plans and programs designed to create a stronger sense of brotherhood, unity and belongingness among the members of COPC,” he said.
These initiatives, will fill in the need for a stronger support system for all COPC members who have been longing for real change, unity and respect within the organization, Gumapac added. (PR)
