CAMIGUIN – The province of Camiguin is enhancing health services by adopting modern technology to elevate the quality and efficiency of medical care for its residents. This was achieved through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Wireless Access for Health, which established the Camiguin Health Information Exchange (CHIE) on October 21.
Digitalizing health records is a significant step that will enable easier patient condition monitoring, faster, more accurate diagnosis, medication prescriptions, and treatment plans.
“Pinaagi sa CHIE, tanang rekord medikal ug datos sa mga pasyente magamit sa mas sayon ug hapsay nga pagpatuman sa mga serbisyong medikal. Pinaagi niini, mas daghan pang mga residente ang mahatagan ug access sa mas episyente ug epektibong mga serbisyo medikal,” said Gov. Xavier Jesus Romualdo.
(Through CHIE, all medical records and patient data will be more easily and smoothly accessible for the implementation of medical services. With this, more residents will have access to more efficient and effective healthcare services.)
Romualdo added that with the system, more Camiguin residents will have access to faster, more efficient, and more effective healthcare services. He also expects that this step forward in digital health will significantly improve patient care and outcomes, benefiting the community through the reliable sharing of health information across various healthcare providers.
